SPRING SPRING SPRING

Hello everybody! I am so thankful you clicked on this. Spring has come with a lot of opportunity, and I would love to talk to you about how mine is going!

First of all, I just came out with a new YouTube video! A year ago I made a goal to pursue animation. In this video, I am break down the projects I created, what I learned from each one, and how they shaped where I am now. Starting with some of my early animation, and ending with the best animation work I have done to date!

This is now the fourth YouTube video on the brand new channel, admittedly I need to work on talking in front of a camera. It never gets easier, but it is a showcase of some of my favorite work I have ever made, and I hope you enjoy it!

Secondly, a much heavier topic! I am on the board at my local art center, and I help in media production related projects when my art director asks!

“Degenerate Art” was a term used in 1930s Germany to label and suppress artwork that didn’t fit a strict ideology, especially modern and experimental styles.

Entartete Nacht was an exhibit and jazz show that reflected on that history and highlighted the importance of artistic freedom in today’s world.

Attending that show at my local art center, and celebrating art that had been controlled or even destroyed was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity of taking photos and video content while I was there.

Using my own photography I have made three Blue Note Jazz inspired graphics. Remaking the classic Blue Note logo, using custom typography inspired by those classic album covers, and stylizing the photos both in color and composition. At some point you’ll also be able to see them in person at the art center. I’ll probably post about that whenever it happens!

Out of the three I have attached one, and you can check out the rest on my Instagram page @cooper.judah.art - although they will soon be here on my website to view. I just havnt’t decided how I am going to present them yet.

Lastly, while I have many projects in the works, and even some that are done but have to wait to share, what I will leave you with is a picture of a heron I recently took. I am pretty proud of it! I always thought that if I pursued being a photographer full time, I would be a wildlife photographer. It feels like a good way to end the first spring blog!
